Gmail is a personal-only integration: a mailbox belongs to one person, so Gmail never appears on the Organisation tab of the Integrations page. Data from your Gmail is visible only to you — it powers your own assistant and is never shared with your team. Who can connect: any member, for their own mailbox.

Open My integrations

Go to Profile → My integrations, or open Integrations in the sidebar and switch to the My integrations tab. Click Connect on the Gmail row.

Authorize with Google

Sign in and approve read-only access to your mail (gmail.readonly) and to your email address. Brink can read messages but can never send, modify, or delete anything.

You're done

Brink starts indexing straight away. The Gmail row shows Connected with the address of the mailbox you authorized.
There’s nothing to bind. A personal Gmail connection covers your whole mailbox and stays private to you, so it doesn’t appear in the project binding lists.

What gets synced

  • Email messages and threads from your mailbox
  • Attachments flow into the Document Center — drawings, contracts, and site photos in your email become searchable and citable. Calendar invitations and inline signature images are deliberately skipped.
  • RFI and submittal numbers found in subjects or bodies are cross-linked to Procore records
New mail arrives near-real-time — Google notifies Brink as it lands. Older mail is imported newest-first in 30-day batches, covering about a year by default, so the most recent history is searchable within minutes while the rest fills in behind it.

Privacy

Only you can see data from this connection. It is always private to you — no setting, binding, or admin action can widen it to your team.
Disconnecting (from Profile → My integrations) revokes Brink’s access with Google and deletes the stored credentials. You may see Google’s consent screen again on every reconnect — that’s expected.

Notes

  • If the connection ever shows Needs attention, your Google authorization has expired. Disconnect and connect again to restore it.
  • Want a team-wide mailbox instead of a personal one? Use Outlook, which supports organization connections, or give the project its own address with the AI Employee Inbox.
